Oxfordshire’s longest established psychology consultancy, The Oxford Development Centre, is celebrating its 18th anniversary this month.

Dr Claudia Herbert, The Oxford Development CentreClinical Psychologist Dr Claudia Herbert founded the original centre in Witney in 1998 to provide high quality, research-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families and other health professionals in a comfortable and welcoming, non-clinical, non-judgmental setting.  The practice offers comfy sofas, big cushions and a safe haven for people who are experiencing a wide variety of psychological difficulties to share their problems and experiences.

A specialist in the treatment of stress and trauma, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Claudia now heads a team of very experienced consultants who work together to provide a collaborative, sympathetic and holistic approach to treatment.  Qualified in the most recognised and cutting-edge therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the latest psycho-sensory approaches, they draw on elements of a range of leading therapies to create treatment programmes specifically designed for the needs of each individual.
